Menstrual Health Awareness
Growing Up Essentials
Taking Care is the KeyÂ
Different stages, have different needs! It’s important to understand and address the unique challenges at each stage of growing up.
Menstrual Health AwarenessÂ
- Start early: Age 10 and onwards. Girls should be informed about menstrual health and hygiene from a young age to ensure they are prepared and confident.
- Comfort in conversations varies. Some girls may feel uneasy discussing these topics, and that’s okay. Give them time to open up.
Open DiscussionsÂ
- Having trained professionals discuss menstrual health can provide accurate information and ease any discomfort.
- Make girls feel comfortable and normal. It’s crucial to normalize these conversations to help girls feel at ease.
Clarify Myths & Facts
- Educate accurately about menstruation. Dispelling myths and providing factual information helps in building a clear and healthy understanding.
Supportive Environment
- Don’t leave girls to learn only from peers or from internet. Ensure they get reliable information from trusted sources.
- Stand by them, address issues, and answer questions. Be there to support and guide them through their questions and concerns.
- Make them feel proud of womanhood. Encourage a positive and empowering perspective on their journey.
